.. is that the British know best.

I just returned from a family visit to the U.K. My sister, who lives there, likes to collect pamphlets about head lice because she knows this is my favourite topic!

The National Health Service produced an informative brochure on Head Lice distributed through the school system in England. The Brits are big on the "wet-combing" method of head lice removal - the mechanical system that The Lice Squad uses in Canada. No pesticides are recommended whatsoever. And get this -- a clear statement that washing bed linens and clothing was unnecessary. Totally unnecessary! Don't bother with it at all. Same with vacuuming!

The Lice Squad has always turned the head lice sufferer toward removing bugs and eggs from the hair and spending minimal time on the environment. It was terrific to see a national health organization tout the same approach.

Goodbye pesticides. Goodbye housecleaning. Hello an effective, loving, and chemical-free way to handle the dreaded bug.
