.. is that the poor are most at risk.

According to the unemployed mom who recently called my head lice removal service, a little two-year old has been out of daycare due to a case of head lice. Over the past two weeks, the kind local pharmacist provided different lice shampoos, recommended an environmental pesticide spray for the crib mattress ?!??!?!, and then topped it off with a bottle containing the chemical lindane.

Please visit www.lindane.org, a website run by the National Pediculosis Association in the U.S. for recent findings on the health effects of lindane exposure. Banned from agricultural use since 2006, this is still a substance we can use on our children's (and babies') heads? Hard to believe.

For the FACTS about head lice, and for safe removal WITHOUT the use of potentially harmful PESTICIDES, contact the Lice Squad. 1 866 838 LICE. Because manual removal using a high quality nit comb will always be the best approach.
